Skillpoint Alliance hires dynamic education professional as new Executive Director

(Austin, TX) – Skillpoint Alliance, a leading workforce training partnership in Central Texas, is excited to announce the appointment of Kevin Brackmeyer as its new Executive Director. Kevin was unanimously selected by the Skillpoint board of directors based on his over two decades of leadership experience in education, workforce training and personal empowerment. He will officially begin on September 15.

“We couldn’t be more delighted that Kevin has agreed to lead our team. Skillpoint is poised to be the premier training provider in Central Texas and Kevin is the right person at the right time to take us to that next level,” said Megan Lasch, chair of Skillpoint Alliance board of directors.
Kevin brings a contagious passion for workforce development, STEM education and soft skills training. He has an in-depth knowledge of the community and people Skillpoint serves and has a familiarity with the local educational, political, corporate and philanthropic scenes.

Mr. Schreberle is in charge of federal/state advocacy and education/talent development and a longtime champion for Skillpoint Alliance.

Brackmeyer most recently served as Superintendent of Manor Independent School District, for which he was named the Austin Chamber’s 2015 Superintendent of the Year. He also has held senior leadership positions in the Austin and Harlingen Independent School Districts. Kevin has been married to his wife, Cindy, for 20 years and their sons William (13) and Brent (10), attend public schools in Austin.
