Dell Partnering with Skillpoint Alliance to Provide Children With Access to Technology

Skillpoint Alliance has been selected as a recipient of a 2013 Dell Powering the Possible grant. Skillpoint Alliance will receive funding in the form of cash grants and equipment donations to leverage technology and further the organization’s mission of providing a brighter future for underserved youth.

“We’re so pleased to start our strategic partnership with Dell to impact children and give them access to computer technology through our FIRST® Robotics programs,” said Margo Dover, Executive Director at Skillpoint Alliance. “With this grant, the STEM Council at Skillpoint Alliance will sponsor thirty eight (38) K-12 teams of students underrepresented in STEM in Central Texas, inspiring innovation and building science, technology, engineering, math, and leadership skills in up to 420 disadvantaged students.

In addition to technology solutions, Dell will provide Skillpoint Alliance with the volunteer services of a local Dell champion who will manage employee engagement opportunities with local Dell team members.
