Funding will help advance Skillpoint Alliance’s mission of connecting Central Texans to training and career opportunities
AUSTIN, Texas—Skillpoint Alliance today announced it has received a $30,000 grant from Bank of America to support the organization’s workforce development initiatives and efforts to create pathways to economic opportunity for individuals across Central Texas.
The funding will support Skillpoint Alliance’s pre-apprentice electrical, HVAC/plumbing and manufacturing training programs, helping prepare Central Texans for in-demand careers through hands-on instruction, industry-recognized certifications and career readiness services.
“We are grateful to Bank of America for this investment in our work and in the people we serve,” Kevin Brackmeyer, CEO of Skillpoint Alliance, said. “This support will help us continue providing opportunities that strengthen our workforce, empower individuals and contribute to a stronger Central Texas community.”
In addition to the financial contribution, Bank of America offers resources and volunteer opportunities that support nonprofit organizations and the communities they serve. These include financial education programming through Better Money Habits®, volunteer engagement opportunities, career development resources through The Academy, and professional development opportunities for nonprofit leaders through the Driving Impact Webinar Series.
“Career and technical education plays a vital role in strengthening our workforce and supporting economic opportunity,” said Meghan Hughes, Head of Workforce Development at Bank of America. “These investments are part of our ongoing commitment to expanding access to education, training and career pathways that help individuals build brighter futures.
