Born and raised in Harlingen, Texas, Kevin Brackmeyer attended Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas where he received a bachelor’s degree in psychology before returning to his hometown to begin working as a program supervisor for Tropical Texas MHMR, providing job skills training to adults with cognitive disabilities and assisting with placement into the workforce.
Kevin strongly believes in the importance of developing sustainable relationships with the local community. He has built successful partnerships with area businesses, the tech industry, health care providers, higher education institutions, as well as the Austin Area Chamber of Commerce. He is well known as an advocate for the less fortunate and he has a passion for creating opportunities for those in need to become successful citizens in the community.
Aaron Hill
Program Manager
Aaron is responsible for the successful development and delivery of all Skillpoint programming, including budget management, grant compliance, and supervision of program staff. Prior to joining Skillpoint Alliance, Aaron worked in higher education administration as a university residence life practitioner. In this context, he supported the learning and development of thousands of college students through the creation of high-impact learning experiences. Aaron also served as a training team leader in New York State, providing training to public assistance administrators on topics including employment services policy, mental health awareness, and effective staff supervision. Originally from the Midwest, Aaron holds a B.A. in International Political Economy from Carthage College and an M.S. in College Student Personnel from Western Illinois University. Outside of work, Aaron can be found riding his bicycle around Austin or at home playing video games.
Amy Corbett
Finance Director
Amy is responsible for providing oversight of the Finance Department. Her duties include managing the operating budget, financial projections, contractual requirements and the accurate reporting of all financial activities. Prior to joining Skillpoint Alliance, Amy worked in the audit practice of a Big 4 public accounting firm. Her clients represented a variety of industries and practices. Recently, Amy provided accounting consulting services to various Austin nonprofits and businesses. This work sparked her interest in the non-profit sector. Originally from California, Amy graduated from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She enjoys spending time with her family and two Cocker Spaniels. Her hobbies include tennis, reading, music and volunteering with her children.
Sean Chitty
Senior IT Manager / DBA
Sean specializes in networking, IT Support, and technical research at Skillpoint Alliance. At Skillpoint Alliance, he is responsible for the day-to-day management of computers and servers used by Skillpoint Alliance’s employees and participants as well as assisting program directors with technical matters. Originally from Houston, TX, Sean is a graduate of Grinnell College where he received a Bachelor’s in Computer Science. In his spare time, Sean can be found playing video games, painting miniatures, or wrestling his dogs.
Loreal Patterson
Program Manager
Loreal specializes in strategic planning and executing processes. At Skillpoint, Loreal is responsible for the successful oversight and delivery of all Skillpoint Alliance workforce development programming, including assisting with budget management, assuring grant compliance and reporting, and supervision of program staff. Prior to joining Skillpoint Alliance, Loreal was a higher education administrator, working specifically within residential life. During that experience, Loreal developed and implemented intentional programming that supported student development. Loreal also served as a coordinator of creative services where she created marketing materials through print and social media to promote university housing. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Loreal graduated with a B.A. in Communication from University of Wisconsin – Parkside and M.S. in Adult and Higher Education from Northern Illinois University. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, attending concerts, reading, listening to music and podcasts, and practicing acts of self-care.
Weston Sythoff
Industry Partnerships Specialist
Weston specializes in building and maintaining effective partnerships with industry stakeholders. At Skillpoint, Weston is responsible for engaging employers and other industry representatives, encouraging their involvement in Skillpoint's Gateway training programs. Prior to joining Skillpoint Alliance, Weston spent more than a decade in corporate relations, public relations, and fundraising for public organizations in the workforce development and higher education fields in Austin. As a former Army brat and missionary kid, Weston traveled extensively while growing up. After a four-year enlistment in the U.S. Coast Guard, Weston settled in Austin in 2003. He graduated from St. Edward's University with a BA in Communications in 2006. In his spare time, he devours science fiction, basketball, and music, spends time with his two children, volunteers, and plays bass guitar for a handful of local bands.
Ronda Pritchard
Student Success Coordinator
Ronda specializes in building relationships with students, and preparing them for success in school and in life. At Skillpoint, Ronda works closely with students, providing individualized coaching and support to help ensure student success during and after training. Prior to joining Skillpoint Alliance, Ronda was a teacher. Her teaching experience ranges from Pre-K through high school. Originally from Austin, Ronda graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her twin daughters, family, and friends, as well as running down on Town Lake when she gets the chance.
Regina Wiley
Admissions Coordinator
At Skillpoint, Regina recruits prospective and qualified students and helps with the admissions process. Prior to joining, Skillpoint Alliance, Regina was a manager and trainer for various organizations in Maryland and Texas. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Regina graduated from Strayer University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family, reading, rollerskating, bowling and attending church events.
Colby Hall
Admissions Coordinator
Colby specializes in building relationships with people and families in the community. At Skillpoint, Colby recruits and interviews potential applicants and gets them through the admissions process. Prior to joining Skillpoint Alliance, Colby was the Youth Development and Aquatics Director for the YMCA where he provided leadership to the youth sports, aquatics, all-day camp programs, and oversaw 70 employees and 90 volunteer through out the year. Originally from Bradenton, Florida. In his spare time, he enjoys playing video games, going to Disney to with his family, and playing sports with friends.
Jeff Jackson
HVAC / Pipefitting Instructor
Jeff Jackson specializes in HVAC and building maintenance. At Skillpoint, Jeff is responsible for the Austin HVAC, Plumbing and Pipe Fitting classes. Prior to joining Skillpoint Alliance, Jeff was chief building engineer, responsible for maintenance of high rises in Austin. Originally from Kentucky but moving to Austin as a child, Jeff graduated from ACC with a degree in HVAC and holds an HVAC contractor’s license. In his spare time, he enjoys racing sailboats, traveling and hiking.
Peter "Alan" Wilson
Electrical Instructor
Peter "Alan" Wilson specializes in Electrical Instruction. A Texas Master Electrician and Electrical Contractor, Alan is also an NCCER Certified HVAC instructor. At Skillpoint, Alan is an NCCER Certified Electrical Instructor. He wrote and teaches a hands on Electrical curriculum pointed toward bring new, qualified Apprentice Electricans into the Electrical Industry. Prior to joining Skillpoint Alliance, Alan was the Electrical Division Manager for TraC-n-trol Inc., Georgetown Texas and is still an active Electrical Contractor in the State of Texas. Prior to this, Alan was an Electrical Inspector for the City of Oklahoma City. Originally from Fort Worth, Alan graduated from Tarrant County College in Texas with an AA and following that studied Secondary Education at the University of North Texas. Alan is a proud Veteran, having served in the US Army as a combat medic. In his/her spare time, he enjoys the outdoors and is an avid rockhound and flintknapper.
Al Gnuschke
Plumbing Instructor
Al specializes in plumbing instruction, and is responsible for curriculum development for Skillpoint's Pre-Apprentice Plumbing program.
Mike Longtain
Construction & Culinary Instructor
Mike specializes in Construction and Culinary instruction. At Skillpoint, Mike is responsible for NCCER Core Construction for all Austin Electrical classes; as well as Culinary programming for the summer classes at the Williamson County Juvenile Detention Facility.
