Manufacturing Technician Program (CPT+)
This training course prepares graduates for entry-level Technician positions in the Manufacturing industry. Job titles vary by employer, but include Manufacturing Technician, Process Technician, Equipment Technician, Fab Associate, Machine Operator, and/or Assembler. Students learn about manufacturing safety, quality practices & measurement, manufacturing processes & production, and maintenance awareness. The course includes hands-on skills work with a CNC mill, soldering station, 3-D printer, VR headsets, the Skill Boss, and much more. The course also includes OSHA-10 safety, Lean Six Sigma White Belt, HAAS CNC, and Forklift certifications, as well as direct industry engagement, field trips, and job referrals. Graduates can expect to begin work for leading Austin-area manufacturers such as Applied Materials, NXP, Samsung Austin Semiconductor, Tesla, and many more.
