I came to Skillpoint for the opportunity to obtain a trade, advance my career and learn great skills for job-site work. Upon graduating this program, I plan to use my entry-level skills to join the HVAC industry. I also hope to attend TSTC (Texas State Technical College) to continue my education and further my career. I love helping others, making them laugh and using my experience to teach others something new.
I really admire the companies Trane and Capstone Mechanical. I’ve done some research on the industry in our area and I feel like the jobs they are hiring for would be the best fit for my interests and skillsets at this point. I’m construction-inclined and really like hands-on work environments and I feel like these two companies would provide that opportunity.
One piece of advice I have for incoming students is to never think anything is impossible! Tough it out even when things get hard because the reward tomorrow is going to be worth more than the stress today.
