MIDLAND The Central Texas Chapter of the Independent Electrical Contractors is expanding workforce opportunities in the Permian Basin with the launch of a new four-year electrical apprenticeship program in Midland — the first program of its kind in the region. Pre-apprenticeship training will be provided by Skillpoint Alliance, a nonprofit workforce development organization preparing individuals for careers in the skilled trades.
