Nurse Aide Training
Our Nurse Aide program qualifies graduates to work as vital members of a health care delivery team. Due to the growing presence of the healthcare industry in the region, demand for Certified Nurse Aides is expected to grow by more than 19% in the next ten years. Students are taught how to provide basic personal care for patients in healthcare facilities, hospitals, and in-home health care. More specifically, participants will learn about how to properly bathe, dress, move, feed, and groom patients in addition to medical terminology, infection control, communication, and documentation skills. Participants earn certifications for:
- NATCEP Clinical Certification*
- NATCEP Classroom Certification*
- First Aid for Healthcare Professionals
- CPR for Health Professionals
*must pass Texas State Board exams
Past Nurse Aide graduates have gained employment with Brookdale Senior Living, Silverado Memory Care, Southpark Meadows Nursing and Rehab, St. David’s and Ascension Seton. Graduates can expect to work in similar long-term care facilities, hospitals, hospices, day care centers, and urgent care centers.
