AUSTIN, Texas—Skillpoint Alliance—a Central Texas 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides fast-paced, no-cost job training in the skilled trades to lower-income, underserved and under-accessed populations—announced today the appointment of Dulce Gruwell as the new South Central Texas site director.
With over half a decade at Skillpoint and strong ties to Central Texas, she will oversee efforts to align training with industry needs in communities like New Braunfels and Seguin, furthering the organization’s mission to grow workforce development across the region.
“This region has tremendous potential for workforce growth, and I’m excited to help connect more residents to career paths that offer economic mobility,” Gruwell said. “Expanding access to training and building strong, local partnerships are key to ensuring long-term success.”
Gruwell has helped Skillpoint Alliance bring free, fast manufacturing training to the region and now looks forward to expanding that impact by bringing in additional skilled trades training, particularly in electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
“Dulce has a unique ability to build trust with community leaders and employers alike,” Kevin Brackmeyer, chief executive officer of Skillpoint Alliance, said. “Her insight, experience and strategic approach make her ideal to lead our efforts in South Central Texas.”
